LAS VEGAS –Beating their own record set last year, Mortenson-McCarthy Joint Venture, builders of the new Allegiant Stadium, are spreading even more holiday cheer this season and giving back to the community with the single largest local donation to Toys For Tots.
More than 1,800 construction workers and subcontractors who are working on the new stadium daily, gathered and donated new and unwrapped toys, books, and bikes for nearly a month before making the sizable donation to the US Marine Corps Reserve for the annual Toys for Tots campaign.
Representatives from the United States Marine Corps Reserve were on hand at the stadium jobsite to receive the haul and load the truck with the 45 boxes, overflowing with toys and 30 brand new bikes.
“We challenged our generous craft workers, vendors, subcontractors and partners to beat our own record set last year and are thrilled that we did it! So many children will now experience a happier holiday,” said Paul Dudzinski, project director, Mortenson-McCarthy Joint Venture. “For the second year in a row, we are really proud to make such a sizable donation to the US Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots campaign. Our workers and subcontractors take great pride in the community and their generosity and holiday spirit really showed.”
Dating back to 1947, Toys for Tots aims to help less fortunate children across the United States experience the joy of Christmas.
